Tsuyoshi Tanaka, DDS, MSD
We are excited to introduce Dr. Tsuyoshi Tanaka, DDS, MSD, as the newest member of our team, joining us as an associate periodontist. Dr. Tanaka brings a wealth of clinical expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. With over five years of experience in both academic and clinical settings, he has earned numerous accolades for his contributions, including the prestigious Best Clinical Faculty award.
Dr. Tanaka is known for his patient-centered approach, ensuring that every treatment plan is tailored to the individual’s needs, promoting optimal outcomes and a positive patient experience. His communication skills and commitment to personalized care make him an invaluable asset to our practice.
Dr. Tanaka’s educational background is equally impressive. He received his dental degree from Tokyo Medical and Dental University, one of Japan’s top institutions. He then pursued advanced training in the United States, earning a certificate in periodontology from Indiana University, where he served as chief resident, and completing a program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine. Further enhancing his skills, Dr. Tanaka completed a fellowship in implantology and holds certification in IV sedation, allowing him to provide comprehensive periodontal care.

Background and Education
Dr. Tsuyoshi Tanaka, DDS, MSD, is a distinguished periodontist with extensive training and experience. He earned his dental degree from Tokyo Medical and Dental University in 2010. Pursuing advanced education, Dr. Tanaka attended Indiana University School of Dentistry, where he received his certificate in periodontology in 2016, serving as chief resident during his time there.
He continued his education by completing an Advanced Education in General Dentistry program at Boston University’s Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine in 2017. Most recently, Dr. Tanaka completed a fellowship in implantology at the University of Florida College of Dentistry, further honing his skills in this specialized area.
Dr. Tanaka has also made significant contributions in academia, previously serving as a clinical assistant professor and program director at the University of Florida College of Dentistry. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology and holds certification in IV sedation, ensuring that patients receive the highest level of care in a safe and comfortable environment.
