After leaving the office, relax for the remainder of the day. Avoid strenuous activity until your two-week post-operative appointment. Try your best to keep your tongue, food, and drinks off the surgery area. SWELLING, BLEEDING, AND DISCOMFORT: Some swelling may be present the day after the surgery and may peak at 2-3 days after surgery.
